A big welcome to our Newts’ class page. We are really looking forward to the year ahead and sharing all the amazing things we are learning in class as well as hearing all about all the fantastic activities you are doing outside of school. Please share all your wonderful experiences with us on SeeSaw!
Our theme for terms 2 and 3 is ‘Settlements’. Newts will be looking at historical settlements from across the world which have influenced the way we build and live today. We will be starting our journey all the way back in the Stone Age and Romans and slowly work our way up to 2020 where will be asking ourselves ‘Why do families settle in Bradley Stoke?’ In our Science and Curious Curriculum lessons, we will also be looking at the topography of land, specifically rocks, to better understand which areas are suitable for settlements. It would be lovely during these terms if you could walk around Bradley Stoke to see what you think is amazing and why you want to live here. This is also the perfect time to try Challenge 11 from the Curious Curriculum Unleashed and show off the hidden fossils in rocks by a rubbing them.
Please get in touch if you have any questions or things you would like to discuss via Seesaw.
