A big welcome to the Kingfisher Class page. Here you will find a selection of the exciting learning we will be working on over the course of the year. Kingfisher Class have already been busy getting back into the swing of school life and have produced some fantastic work this term.
Our theme for Term 1 is ‘The Whole World in Our Hands.’ As part of this theme, Kingfishers have already spent time researching key geographical differences between the UK and the Andes Region in South America. The children have also been brushing up on their sketching skills and used these to produce beautifully detailed diagrams of volcanoes and earthquakes. As we move towards the end of the term, Kingfishers are turning their attention to our changing planet, and the impact that we as humans have on our world. We are very excited to be taking part in the ‘Big Draw Festival’ where we will be creating placards and taking part in a ‘strike’ in the playground.
Next term, our theme will be ‘Exploration’ which the children will discover through a range of stimulating and thought provoking enquiry questions.
