We have had a very busy and exciting start to Year 3! We are really looking forward to the year ahead and sharing all of the amazing things we are learning in class as well as hearing all about all the fantastic activities you are doing outside of school. Please share all your wonderful experiences with us!
Our theme during this term was ‘Growing Together’. Our art was based around Georgia O’Keeffe and William Morris and, to complement this, in science we have been discovering the requirements needed for plants to successfully grow whilst carefully studying the structure of plants for our paintings.
In the next two terms our topic will be Settlements, where we shall dive into a heavily based History topic – my favourite! Whilst studying the Romans, the children will understand the reasons why people have settled in and the effects this has on us today. They will be discovering the differences between early settlements and modern day settlements. Any research at home with your children is greatly appreciated – we would love to see it on Seesaw!
Please get in touch if you have any questions or things you would like to discuss via email or Seesaw.
