Class Information

Hello Butterflies!

Welcome to Year 1! It has been an exciting start to the year, working together and learning about one another as we find our way at Meadowbrook. During this year, we have lots of exciting topics to cover including The World Around Me, I Wonder, Machines and Wild Things. During term 1 ‘ The world around us’ took a focus on our homes and the world that we know such as a school and the local area. We also discovered new homes, new emotions and developed a deeper understanding of our lives and others during our transition into Year 1. Throughout the year, our other topics will give us many opportunities to develop key skills, imagination, and creativity as we take part in this learning journey and begin exploring our enquiries.

I am very much looking forward to seeing what this year brings and creating many exciting memories along the way!

Best wishes

Miss Burgess, Mrs Porter and Mrs Castleman
