Welcome to Caterpillars Class page!!

Firstly we would like to welcome all our families joining our Meadowbrook family and to all the children joining Caterpillars class.

Our names are Mrs Wheller and Mrs Cable and we are the Caterpillars class teachers. We have two teaching assistants in Reception, Mrs J and Mrs Whittaker, who work closely with both reception classes. Caterpillars class also learn alongside Bumblebees class as an EYFS unit.

We are looking forward to the year ahead of us and the exciting learning journey we will go on together. We hope you will find it exciting and engaging and will be enthusiastic to come to school each day. As an EYFS team we work closely together to follow the interest of the children and ensure that your child has the opportunity to be a curious learner by exploring the provision we offer.

Over the course of the year we will look at different themes which stem from your children’s interests. This may cover superheroes, transport, celebrations and of course finding out all about them. The children can then extend their learning through their play and have many areas both indoors and outdoors in which they can discover learning experiences using a range of skills. We look forward to getting to know you all over your first year at school together. We cannot wait to see the enjoyment and fun you have as you become curious learners.
